CK Science are recruiting for a Senior Chemist to join a epoxy and resin manufacturing company at their site based in Walsall on a permanent basis The Company:Our client is a leading manufacturer of high quality & bespoke epoxy products based in the West Midlands looking to recruit a forward-thinking Senior Development Chemist with epoxy & Polyurethane formulation experience.Salary: £30,000- £40,000 DOESenior Formulation Chemist Role:Your main duties will be:- Formulation of epoxy systems, predominantly for Flooring Industry- Analysis of experimental results and writing technical service reports- Evaluating the suitability of alternative raw materials in existing formulations- Testing- Analysis of raw materials and formulated systems- Writing technical service reports- Assisting with quality control tests- Working with current resins and creating new formulasYour Background:The ideal candidate for this role will have - A degree in a Chemistry or Polymer related subject with practical experience of epoxy formulation- Experience of epoxy systems, polyurethane chemistry exposure and/or polymer characterization techniques such as thermal analysis and mechanical testing.- Experience of working in a laboratory, ideally in one of the following Chemical arenas: Resins, Epoxies, MMA and Acrylics- Awareness of ISO 9001:2015 quality management system requirements- Ability to generate Material Safety Data Sheets- Understanding of raw materials and formulationsFor more information or to apply for this position, please contact on or email , quoting job ref 49048It is essential that applicants hold entitlement to work in the UK
