Job Description

Oakley Recruitment is working in partnership with an independent legal firm based in Walsall who are looking for a Legal Cashier to join their team. This is a part-time opportunity for someone looking for flexible working hours.SummaryYou will be assisting in the smooth running of the practice by attending to the various financial transactions arising from the work of the firm and its internal operation.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Undertaking daily banking functions including bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of cheques
  • Processing bank transfers
  • Controlling designated client deposit accounts
  • Preparation of credit control advice
  • Administration of the purchase ledger, petty cash and VAT
  • Preparatory work for the annual accounts.
Skills and experience
  • Basic book keeping
  • 6 months experience in a similar role
  • Working knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules
  • Good working knowledge of accounting system Leap & Xero
  • Numerate skills
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, in particular Microsoft Excel
  • Able to communicate at all levels to achieve a positive outcome
