In April 2020 the Trusts merged together as Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, offering more opportunities for staff across a bigger Trust.Previously assessed as “Good” by the Care Quality Commission, and currently awaiting the results of the most recent review this is an exciting time to join our dynamic and caring Trust as we progress. The Trust has also recently received sustained positive feedback from its staff in relation to its staff survey results.Cedars and Linden Wards offers a range of opportunities to further your career.The ward teams assist individuals, their families, carers and or significant others to understand the nature of their mental health difficulties by providing information and education along with practical and emotional support to achieve optimum recovery for an individual.The principles of person centred care are firmly embedded in our care philosophy to ensure that the needs of individuals are met.All wards at Bloxwich Hospital have AIMS (Accreditation for Inpatient Mental Health Services) accreditation.As an older adult environment based at Bloxwich Hospital, we look after patients with a range of acute mental health needs, and our team strive to help our patients in every way they can. The team comprises of OT’s, medics, psychologists and pharmacists who all work well and cohesively together on a day to day basis.All staff are given opportunities for development and training and we have development programmes for band 5 and band 6 staff in addition to the ongoing training required for your role. There is also a Trust revalidation training programme to support our valued staff nurses.
