Media Programme FacilitatorWe are seeking a dynamic, confident and skilled leader who is passionate about young people and has good technical abilities in Media Production. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation with young people at the centre of what they do and a perfect role for someone who is passionate about helping young people progress.Position: Lead Delivery Facilitator and Co-ordinator (Media Production)Location: Birmingham and WalsallHours: Part-time (around 4 days per week)Salary: £19,221 pro rataContract: 6 months - Fixed Term Contract (Pro rata)Benefits: 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, pension scheme, flexible working opportunities available.Closing Date: 16th December 2020The RoleReporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of bespoke programmes across Birmingham and the Black Country. As Lead Facilitator, you will play a key role in inspiring, encouraging and helping to advance young people by delivering sessions that improve their personal and professional skills, using Media Production as an engagement tool.You will lead in the planning, recruitment and organising of sessions; ensuring that all sessions are attended to capacity and are delivered effectively in a fun and relatable manner. In addition to this you will ensure that all requirements are communicated effectively to your delivery team.Based on a set programme curriculum, you will be required to run face to face and online workshops in Media Production (including video, radio, script-writing and film) to groups of between 8 to 15 young people. Utilising the skills, you have taught them, you will then coach participants to produce content such as films, campaigns and promotional videos.As first point of call for your group/s, you will work closely with our Project Coordinator to network and liaise with key workers, community partners, customers and stakeholders in relation to the recruitment of young people to our programmes, with the aim of building relationships and referral partnerships with above groups.About YouThis is an exciting and rewarding role that is best suited to someone who is passionate about the development of young people, has great communication and technical skills as well as a keen interest in social and community development. The role is ideal from someone who has a strong background in Media, is able to digest and adapt set curriculums for varied groups and is confident working with young people from diverse backgrounds.Media experience and experience within a role involving either community development, youth work, media production and teaching/engagement are essential.You will:
