Role: Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Salary: £38,000 to £40,000 per annum + loads of overtime paid at x1.5 & x2.0 + benefitsHours: 4 on 4 off, days only Location: Commutable from Walsall, Lichfield, Cannock, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Tamworth and surrounding areas CompanyA heavy plant manufacturing company who offer challenging and rewarding careers for Mechanical Maintenance Engineers are looking for an individual who wants to be part of an established, loyal and successful team.If youre genuinely after a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role that is both varied and rewarding, with scope to learn, grow and earn some good money, this is a great opportunity!You must be willing to get your hands dirty in a heavy plant environment and not be adverse to training and developing your skills.ResponsibilitiesThis is a permanent Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Fitter position and working 4 on and 4 off, days shift.Your role will include: Planned Preventative Maintenance across a range of equipment and machinery, including crushing, extruders, robotics, packaging, conveyors, mixers, driers machinery.Dealing with machinery breakdowns and problems, fault finding, diagnostics and repairs.Assisting with planned shut-downs and project work, refurbishing machines and replacing worn parts.The machinery will be made up and you will deal with belts, bearings, motors, gears, pumps, chains, hydraulics, pneumatics etc. Anyone with mechanical skills in some of these areas would be highly desirable, along with working in a mechanical maintenance role.RequirementsCompleted a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualifications Experience with mechanical maintenance work within an industrial and/or manufacturing environmentAny experience of belts, chains, bearings, pumps, motors, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding would be desirable - training and support can be given on some areas Proactive work attitude and keen to get stuck inFriendly and adaptable working attitude If this role sounds of interest, please apply now and send your most up to date CV to Wesley at TechNichols Resourcing to be considered.
