Role: Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Salary: £36,000 to £38,000 per annum + loads overtime (paid at x1.5 & x2.0) and benefitsHours: 4 Night Shifts per Week - Monday to Thursday, 9pm till 7am. Location: Commutable from Walsall, Lichfield, Cannock, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Tamworth and surrounding areas CompanyA heavy plant manufacturing company who offer challenging and rewarding careers for Engineers are looking for an individual who wants to be part of an established, loyal and successful team.If youre genuinely after a role where you have room for growth, take on further responsibilities and lead the engineering night shift, this is the role for you!You must be willing to apply yourself and not be adverse to training and developing your skills, as well as get your hands dirty and get stuck in with the team.ResponsibilitiesThis is a permanent Night Shift Mechanical Fitter / Maintenance Fitter position and working 4 night shifts per week, Monday to Thursday, 9pm till 7am.Your role will include: Production will not running so your primary role will be to plan and carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance across a range of equipment and machinery, including crushing, extruders, robotics, packaging, conveyors, mixers, driers machinery.The idea is for this person to grow and help be the driving force for engineering night shift. More specifically with the coordination and completing PPMs, completing paperwork and risk assessments and ensure daily/weekly/monthly milestone have been met.You will also be responsible for switching on production machinery and handing over to day-shift at 7am.The machinery will be made up and you will deal with belts, bearings, motors, gears, pumps, chains, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.Requirements Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualifications Experience with mechanical fitting work, within an industrial and/or manufacturing environmentMachinery maintenance experienceAny experience of belts, chains, bearings, pumps, motors, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding would be desirable - training and support can be given on some areasComputer literateDrive to learn and grow Proactive work attitude and keen to get stuck inFriendly and adaptable working attitude If this role sounds of interest, please apply now and send your most up to date CV to Wesley at TechNichols Resourcing to be considered.
