Job Description

Gleeson Recruitment Group are working exclusively in partnership with an established and extremely profitable FMCG business in the West Midlands. This role sits within a growing SME, where you will work in a truly commercial finance position. It is an excellentopportunity for a newly or recently qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) Accountant, who has experience and a passion for commercial finance.You will benefit from 2/3 days a week working from home, in a truly hybrid environment.Key responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner role:

  • Work closely with the commercial and operational teams to provide financial guidance and insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to analyse and forecast business performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create annual budgets, financial plans, and forecasts.
  • Monitor and analyse key financial and operational metrics, providing timely and relevant reporting to management.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities and provide financial analysis for new projects and initiatives.
  • Partner with the business to identify areas for cost optimization and process improvement.
  • Provide financial support for pricing decisions, contract negotiations, and business development initiatives.
  • Act as a business partner, fostering strong relationships with internal teams and contributing to a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Qualifications and experience required for the position:
  • A recognised accountancy qualification - ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Proven experience in a similar commercial finance role within the FMCG sector.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
