RAC have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced ER Advisor to join an established ER team on a 12 month FTC. Operating within the centralised HR department, youll be experienced at managing a variety of cases, all with varying complexity.You will be able to get your teeth into the full range of ER activities: advising on cases, coaching managers, working in partnership with stakeholders, designing and delivering workshops for managers, contributing to the development of employment policies,producing guidance, facilitating the resolution of issues, liaising with TU representatives, supporting consultation exercises and helping to take forward the Companys people agenda (including wellbeing as well as equality, diversity and inclusion).If you enjoy seeing what you can learn from case law and developments in legislation so that you can enable effective people management, and you have great communication skills, a talent for helping others to resolve problems, an ability to remain calm underpressure, and a huge helping of sound judgement, empathy and self-motivation, we really want to hear from you!Working hours are 35 hours per week across Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. This position is a hybrid role (two days on-site working -normally at our Bescot RAC Office in Walsall, although there is potential for occasional travel to Bristol and/or Stretford).Job DescriptionOn a day to day basis you can expect to provide advice and guidance to managers, HR business partners and colleagues on the full range of people management issues, e.g. related to conduct, absence, grievances, family leave, performance management, organisationalchange and so on.A proven ability to build stakeholder relationships will be critical as you will be liaising with managers, HR Business Partners and Trade Union representatives to ensure that issues are resolved appropriately and in-line with Company policy, procedure,and legislation.Key Responsibilities
