Consultant Psychiatrist - Acute Mental Health West Midlands Salary: £120,000 - £140,000 (may be negotiable DOE) Remit Compass Associates are proudly working with a leading provider of private mental health services to headhunt for a Consultant Psychiatrist. This is a full-time permanent role working 37.5hrs/week plus participation in the on-call rota 1 in 7. This role is based at a 28 bedded hospital in Walsall for adult males and females with complex mental health conditions, who are presenting in an acute phase, with increased challenging or risky behaviours including self-harm. Service users may be detained under the Mental Health Act or subject to Deprivation Safeguards/Ministry of Justice Restrictions and all require stabilisation before commencing on a rehabilitation programme. You would hold a caseload of up to 14 patients and work closely with one of the two Specialty Doctors, as well as the wider MDT which includes Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Nurses and Support Workers. Hours and on calls: This is a full-time permanent role working 37.5hrs/week plus participation in the local on-call rota (1 in 7), the vast majority of which is on the phone as each hospital has Specialty Doctors on site 24/7. Commutable from: Birmingham, Sutton Coldfield, Coventry, Leamington Spa, Worcester, Redditch, Solihull, Nuneaton, Tamworth, Burton-upon-Trent, Lichfield, Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Shrewsbury, Telford, Kidderminster, Stourbridge and nearby towns.
