Start Date: ASAP Pay: KR4 The Federation of The Downs and Northbourne CEP arelooking to appoint a teaching assistant to join our team at The Downs CEP assoon as possible. This is a term time temporary contract for 25 hours per weeklinked to individual support for a specific pupil child. We are seeking to appoint a hardworking andfriendly Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Reception with SLCN and SEMHneeds. You will have experience of working with pupils with SLCN and SEMH needsand in providing physical care. You will have experience in enabling high qualityinclusive provision. You will be skilled in delivering a range of interventionsand in working alongside parents and professionals including STLS and theSpeech and Language Therapy Service. Support during unstructured play such asplaytimes and lunchtimes will also be required. You will need to have a high level of literacy andnumeracy and experience of improving outcomes for pupils both academically andemotionally. We are looking for people who are determined to secure theabsolute best for each pupil and will work hard to ensure every child achieveseverything they are capable of. The Downs is a large two form entry PrimarySchool, in Walmer. Northbourne is a rural five class primary school close tothe village.
