FLT Warehouse OperativeNorth TynesideTemp to Perm£9.50 p/hKelly Services, working on behalf of our global client based in North Tyneside are recruiting a Warehouse Operative with Counter Balance or Reach Truck licence to work on a 6 month Temporary Contract with a view of permanent employment after successful completion. The key job responsibilities will include: * Picking orders using a hand-held scanner and ensuring they are packed and labelled correctly before shipment * Checking for damaged or missing items and sorting stock for storage in the warehouse * Preparing finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product. * Loading and unloading delivery vehicles; operating a fork lift * Maintaining inventory by identifying, labelling and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory. * Locating materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders. * Documenting materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units. * Documenting product shipment by recording units shipped. * General 6S responsibilities to ensure warehouse is kept clean and tidy * Displaying the proper attitude and behaviour, job knowledge and effective communication to build good working relationships * Responsible for ensuring safety in the workplace by the establishment of safe working practices Skills Required: * Previous experience working in a similar role is essential * Valid Fork Lift driving licence (Reach) * Previous experience with barcode systems and hand-held scanners * Computer literate * Inventory control * Ability to build good working relationships * Pro-active, self-motivated and knows when to ask for guidance * Good team player The role is a full-time temp to perm opportunity and involves working 37.5 hrs per week Monday to Friday.
