The Company:Nigel Wright Supply Chain and Procurement team are pleased to be supporting a successful manufacturing business in recruiting for a Supply Chain Assistant to join their expanding team.Working as part of a successful department, you will play an integral part in supporting the Procurement team and ultimately the ongoing success of the business.It is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic business offering prospects to progress a career in a manufacturing environment and an expanding business.This is a 12 month fixed term contract providing the opportunity to gain a wealth of experience.The Role:You will be responsible for:•Supplier Approvals - Addition / Deletion of suppliers on the system•Expediting Supplier documentation•ECO’s – Manage full end to end process, manage stakeholders within the process, report on impact of ECO’s to the Buyer•Ordering and expediting of Production consumables•Process Support – Work with functions to improve working processes. This will include, but not limited to, financial reporting/Quality improvements/Project reporting•Working with peers and senior colleagues within Supply Chain and Commodity teams and the customer base to deliver Project support.•Delivery against budgetary targets where applicableThe Person:The business is looking for someone that is keen to learn, a good planner, effective communicator and can support a fast-paced team.The candidate needs to display confidence when speaking to suppliers and engineers, possess complex data skills and the ability to deal with high volumes.Must be able to display a good attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work well within a team is key.This is an excellent opportunity for someone that is in the early phase of their career looking for development opportunities. Previous Supply Chain experience is not essential, a Business related degree is preferable.
