We have an excellent opportunity for a Storeman / Storeperson to join a well-established organisation in Wallsend on a potentially long-term contract.There are two shift patterns available for the Storeman / Storeperson positions which are shown below, please advise upon application of your preferred shift, however, these cannot be guaranteed but will be helpful to us.Weekday Dayshift - Monday to Friday. 42 hours per week.Weekday Backshift - Monday to Friday. 42 hours per week.Some overtime may be available.Rates of pay offered:* PAYE Dayshift: £13.50 per hour - For the first 38 hours worked and approved£17.55 per hour - In excess of 38 hours worked and approved£20.25 per hour - Saturday & Sunday hours worked and approved£27.00 per hour - Bank Holiday hours worked and approved* PAYE Backshift: £14.99 per hour - For the first 38 hours worked and approved£19.49 per hour - In excess of 38 hours worked and approved£22.49 per hour - Saturday & Sunday hours worked and approved£29.98 per hour - Bank Holiday hours worked and approvedDuties and Responsibilities for the Storeman / Storeperson* To operate, maintain and continuously improve the control and storage of goods and / or material applicable to the project and / or as required for Company business activities. * Work in accordance with agreed principles for the receiving and sending of goods and materials.* Ensure all paperwork is received and recorded as per our clients stock control procedures. * Ensure stores area are kept with safe and clean working conditions and maintain a high standard of housekeeping to maximise efficiency and minimise risks.As a Storeman / Storeperson you will have, but not limited to:A good level of physical fitness.To enjoy practical work.Able to work quickly and methodically.Good organisational skills.Basic computer skills.Good teamwork skills.A safety-conscious attitude to your work.FLT licence requiredHave previous experience in this type of position and ideally within a heavy engineering environment.Interested and have these skills required Then please click APPLY now or call our friendly team on:This vacancy is being advertised by IRS Recruitment who are operating as an Employment Business.
