Job Description

Electrical Product Inspection OperatorFull Time, Temporary (potential to Permanent) £10.41 per hour plus overtime rates Wallsend, Newcastle upon Tyne We are pleased to be working with a global manufacturing business with premises in Wallsend. We have a new position for Production Inspector on a full time basis, starting on a temporary with likelihood to become a permanent position after 3-6 months.The role The position will be to support the Quality Department in reviewing and reporting of defects on current stock and incoming shipments of finished electrical products (printed circuit boards) Responsibilities

  • Good understanding of good and bad production quality
  • Reporting of defects and feedback with other facilities to review and agree corrective action
  • Support additional containment of stock and incoming products to screen out known issues, preventing them reaching final customer
  • Compilation, reporting and analysis of internal quality defects
  • Reviewing current work practices to identify areas in which product quality could be improved
  • Working with manufacturing team to review and agree corrective action on internal and external defects
  • Supporting the Quality Engineers in the investigations and resolution of Internal and Customer raised Quality defects
  • Data collection, preparation and submission to support PPAP and Source Release requirements for key customers
  • To display the proper attitude and behaviour, job knowledge, and effective communication to build good working relationships between departments
  • Audit tasks carried out on a timely and accurate basis
Skills and Experience
  • Electrical production Thorough product and process knowledge
  • Pro-Active, self - motivated and knows when to seek guidance
  • Ability to understand Drawings and Schematics
  • Good communication skills between departments
  • Understanding of IPC/WHMA-A-620 (desirable)
