Job Description

We have the pleasure of recruiting a new team member to join an expanding team at our client based in Wallsend. The company is growing and using cutting edge technology to perform ground breaking processes, which will change the face of the plastics industry.The company requires a Process Operative to work alongside an existing team of operators to run machines to an efficient and fast paced standard, whilst adhering to strict health and safety guidelines.The shift pattern is Days and Backs, Day Shift Monday-Friday 6.00am - 2.00pm, Back Shift 2.00pm-10.00pm breaks are also paid. Flexibility is required as you may be required to work at the companys other site based in Sunderland and this would be on a 7.00am-3.00pmshift.Duties of the role:

  • Running the equipment
  • Operating heavy plant such as shredders and granulators
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Adhering to strict Health and safety procedures
  • General housekeeping of the site
  • Being able to use your own initiative
  • Working closely with team members to ensure smooth running of the process
  • Ability to react to changes in the process
  • Operating Forklift to move staillages around the site (full training will be given before duties will be required)
Essential Experience:
  • Experience in running machines and adhering to strict processes would be desirable
  • This is a physical varied role that requires a level of stamina and fitness to be able to carry out all duties safely
Desirable Experience:
  • Can do attitude the process creates a wet environment due to the washing of the product
  • The role involves working both inside and in the yard area of the factory, ideal candidates will be able to cope with inclement weather and seasonal changes in temperature
  • Previous experience in working in a similar environment may be advantageous
