Job Description

We have a fantastic position for a Mechanical Electrical Maintenance Fitter to join our clients team in the Wallsend area. The Maintenance fitter position is for an immediate start and likely to be until 2025 and beyond. Possible permanent opportunities available. Working Monday to Thursday - 07:00hrs - 16:00hrs and Friday 07:00hrs - 15:30hrs (42 hours per week) £19.50 per hour - For the first 38 hours worked and approved. £25.35 per hour - In excess of 38 hours worked and approved. £29.25 per hour - Saturday hours worked and approved. £39.00 per hour - Sunday and Bank Holiday hours worked and approved. The ideal Mechanical Electrical Maintenance Fitter will have experience working within a light or heavy steel environment. As a Maintenance Fitter you will be required to service various plant and machinery used on site. The fitter will assess, install, and troubleshoot any plant equipment or machinery required. The main duties and responsibilities will be to ensure machinery and equipment runs smoothly. You will be servicing large plant equipment such as, forklifts, cherry pickers, MEWPs, telehandlers. - Repairing and servicing plant equipment and vehicles - Planning servicing work in advance - Compiling detailed reports - Assembling equipment - Calibrating machinery - Testing equipment Skills and requirements for the Maintenance fitter - City and guilds / NVQ or an apprenticeship or similar - A full UK drivers licence - Practical and technical skills - Problem-solving skills - Awareness of site health and safety - CSCS or equivalent If you have the skills required for the role then this is an opportunity not to be missed, Apply now!
