Case ManagerOne of the UKs largest probate genealogist firms is recruiting for a Case Manager / Researcher to join its expanding Public Sector team based in Greater Manchester providing genealogy services to the Legal and Public sector.This unique and rewarding opportunity includes the following responsibilities: Using various databases available to research family trees and locate next of kin Liaising with family members Updating solicitors and public sector contacts General admin tasks such as requesting updates on cases and adding notes to systems. Computerising family trees Ordering and sometimes collecting certificates from GRO or local registrar Preparing reports for both internal and external parties.The Ideal candidate will be a quick learner, degree educated, ultra-organised and possess strong communication skills including a good telephone manner. You will have an excellent grasp of English language and neat, clear handwriting. You will also havegeographical knowledge of towns cities and counties in the UK.Whilst full training will be given experience in the legal sector would be an advantage, especially if it is in the wills and probate department. Candidates should have a minimum of 2-3 years post graduate work experience within a professional office environment.You will have a basic knowledge of Microsoft systems and be able to manage large workloads working to tight deadlines. This can mean some after hours working.You will need to be able to work as part of a team and also independently. You must be proactive in problem solving but know when to ask for help, not being afraid to ask for advice in a busy office environment.You will also possess an exemplary sickness & punctuality record and will be a proven team player.You will hold a UK driving licence.Key features of the employment terms: Hours of work (37.5 hour week) 9.15 -5.15 Monday - Friday (half hour lunch) Holidays 25 plus statutory Salary range for the role is £22,000-£30,000 Depending on experience, paid monthly, last Friday of the monthThis is a great opportunity and salary is dependent upon experience.
