Simpson Judge is currently working with an innovative and growing accountancy practice based in Wigan who are looking to appoint an experienced Bookkeeper into the team. This is a great opportunity to get on board with a firm that truly puts their stafffirst and offer training & development and flexible working arrangements. Responsibilities - * Carry out bookkeeping duties for a varied client base* Liaising directly with clients* Manage the purchase and sales ledger* Preparation and submission of VAT returns ensuring HMRC filing deadlines are met* Closing off month-end trial balance* Invoicing clients* Contacting HMRC directly for clients* Using Xero for above responsibilitiesThe role offers - * 35 hours full-time working week (part-time options also available)* Flexible working hours* Salary determined on experience - £19,000 - £26,000Requirements - * 2+ years bookkeeping experience, open to both industry and practice candidates* Experience using Xero or QuickBookss accounts software (desirable)
