Job Description

Registered General Nurse | Mariners’ Park estate | Wallasey, on the banks of the River Mersey | 12 hour shifts/Overtime/Weekend availability/Nightshift/Flexi time | £20.37 per hourOur client is a trade union and professional organisation serving, supporting and protecting the interests of more than 20,000 maritime professionals in the UK, Netherlands and Switzerland.In this role, you will support management to deliver high-quality, personalised care ensuring that all current standards are met. You will ensure excellent clinical practice, leading and managing the care team.You will be responsible for promoting effective communication across the whole service, including positive links with residents’ families and external stakeholders.Are you the right person for the job

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
  • IT competent Windows & Microsoft Packages
  • You will be person focused in your planning approach
  • Care Home experience (preferred but not essential).
  • Car Driver
Your role will include, but not be limited to
  • Provide a high standard of direct Nursing and Dementia Care to residents
  • Lead and supervise a team of Senior Care Officers to deliver high-quality care
  • Provide leadership to the shift, manage the staff resources, ensuring the skill mix is appropriate to meet all care needs
  • Provide support and professional supervision to Senior Care officers and identify any learning and development need via regular supervision and GDPR
  • Undertake assessments and implementation of person-focused care plans and Mental Capacity and Best Interest Assessments
  • Continually evaluate the quality of care given, and regularly reassess the needs of residents in consultation with the residents, their relatives and the care team, and to effect change required to achieve planned goals
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team including GPs and other external professional to ensure fully coordinated care plans
  • Ensure that appropriate records are maintained in accordance with CQC and organisational requirements
  • Responsible for a LINK role in a key area of clinical responsibility, promoting best practices across the care and nursing team
  • Perform other duties as may from time to time be reasonably required
