Project Manager

Our client is a start-up green bio-surfactant company who are currently building a new full scale manufacturing plant in Wallasey.
They are looking for a project manager with experience in delivering plant based projects who is a mechanical engineer with applied engineering experience to advise and support with the mechanical aspects of the build, as well as manage the project.
Candidates with some electrical engineering experience would be beneficial.
My client is looking for someone who isnt too rigid in their approach as they will need to flexible and adaptable because of the dynamic approach they are taking to the project build.
Candidates will need to have Project Management delivery experience on chemical, petrochemical, refinery or pharmaceutical manufacturing projects.
The detailed design is due to finish at the end of June and my client is keen to get someone started asap. The successful candidate will be kept on during the commissioning of the plant which is due to be in around 6 months.
CDM experience is essential
As my clients turnover is less than £20m they are small company exempt and IR35 is not applicable
The role will mainly be based in Wallasey but there might be occasional visits to Daresbury. Flexible working is an option.
