Job Description

Project Engineer£45,000WirralDays Only (Mon-Fri)gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Project Engineer to work at their facility based near WirralPerformance Objectives

  • The Project Engineer will act as liaison for all project stakeholders, devising a strategy to efficiently achieve the project goals.
  • The critical element of the role is the project engineering, execution and review.
  • Review project proposals and plans to develop project objectives.
  • Identify project phases and elements.
  • Establish user requirement specifications for projects based on a thorough review of client and product requirements.
  • Schedule and monitor engineering tasks.
  • Establish or design testing methods to monitor the overall quality of the project.
  • Collect and analyse project information to create status reports and recommend future actions.
  • Create drawings to be used in design, construction and installation.
  • Manage the contractors and/or engineers working on the project.
  • Ensure that the delivery of the project complies with the safety requirements.
  • Assist with validation protocol definitions and the execution of them.
  • To perform any other duties that are deemed to be reasonable by Senior Management.
Person Specification
  • Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or relevant work experience.
  • FMCG background would be preferable.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing
  • Be self-motivated with a hands-on approach and good problem-solving skills
  • Possess excellent IT skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Project, CAD and Solid Works.
  • Good Planning and Organising skills to ensure multiple tasks are prioritised and monitored to deliver set objectives on time.
