Job Description

We are urgently seeking an experienced and skilled Finance Business Partner to support a solution-focused, innovative financial management function that enables the effective allocation of resources to outcomes to ensure value for money for one of our local government clients based in The Wirral.The Financial Business Partner will assist in the provision of professional and evidence-based management information. They will work within a commercial ethos to enable the identification of commercial opportunities and be a proactive member of a customer focused team. Ideal candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • A formal accountancy qualification or equivalent professional knowledge gained through significant experience working as a finance specialist
  • Experience of risk management
  • Preferably experience of working with Members and involvement in political procedures.
  • Complex data analysis skills
  • Ability to confidently work with Excel (including vlookups, sumifs, and pivot tables). They will also have local authority finance experience / Worked with Oracle/ Discoverer.
