The role will be based at home, given COVID-19 but this is an opportunity to join a fast-paced team, and help deliver our key objectives and priorities.To support a solution-focused, innovative financial management function that enables the effective allocation of resources to outcomes to ensure value for money for the public purse.To assist in the provision of professional and evidence-based management information to support the long-term sustainability of the Council and its trusted partnersTo work within a commercial ethos to enable the identification of commercial opportunity across the organisation.To be a proactive member of a customer focused team that supports the achievement of the Council and its partners’ long term vision.The ideal candidate will have be able to confidently work with Excel (including vlookups, sumifs, and pivot tables). They will also have local authority finance experience / Worked with Oracle/ Discoverer.For this role, tThe candidate will need to have the below;Social Care ExperienceOracle experienceWorked in Local GovernmentGood at Excel pivots look upsExperience of monitoring and budget setting cycles and have worked in this environment contributing to the processHad experience of Salary monitoring and Budget settingPlacement monitoring experience not essential but would be goodWorking at home so comfortable with that using own initiativeWorking on different projects at one time
