With unrivalled knowledge and experience, we provide high-quality, value-for-money finance, procurement and employment services to the NHS, helping them overcome any challenges they face in the back office.We work closely with NHS organisations all over the country to replace outdated, time-consuming and error-prone paper processes, with affordable digital systems and more efficient ways of working, and in addition to our core services, we are designing and developing innovative digital technologies and piloting brand new ways of working, which further improve efficiency and quality, and better support the NHS workforce to deliver world-class patient care.We are passionate about using our expertise to save the NHS time and money and are more relevant today than ever before.The Day Job:Can you translate business problems to technical solutionsDo you want to make a difference Think big and help our customers get the most out of digital technologyWorking on projects at the heart of the business, our Solutions Architects shape and define solution architectures that underpin the services that NHS SBS delivers to customers.These are used to define project plans, manage detailed design, inform technical risk analysis and support estimation.We work with a client from the earliest stages of a project (potentially in a presales capacity) through to delivery and ‘go live’. You will forge close working relationships not only with our architecture and engineering teams onshore and offshore, but also with the many other senior leaders across our core lines of business.You will take a leading role in both the delivery of key internal projects and in business development activity where you will work directly with client organisations to shape and design innovative, custom solutions.Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding and steering the digital strategy of our customers
  • Defining technical solutions, documenting and translating business requirements into solution designs, options appraisals or in support of business cases
  • Providing architecture / technical leadership and support for projects and programmes, ensuring new application deployments align with overall strategy
  • Work oncloud-native architecture and solutions
  • Take end-to-end ownership of shaping solutions & defining the right architectural approach
  • Support estimation, planning and delivery as a Technical Leader.
  • Required Skills:You need to have:
  • Previous experience as a Solutions Architect, Technical Architect, Technical Lead or Solutions Lead with focus on software applications
  • Experience of working within the NHS (either as an NHS employee or a service provider delivering services into the NHS)
  • Experience of NHS spine systems, hospital trust PAS/EHR platforms and health industry interoperability standards(e.g. FHIR and HL7)
  • A strong background in Microsoft technology; experience of building scalable, resilient and secured applications using Microsoft O365, Dynamics 365 and Microsoft .NET or Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Experience of working witharchitecture frameworks(e.g. TOGAF) and tooling.
  • It would be great if you had:
  • Architecture and system design experience for NHS nationwide programmes
  • Ability to represent organisations at local, regional and national architecture forums
  • DevOps background/experience
  • Working knowledge of Netcall Liberty Platform and/or MS Dynamics 365 would be advantageous
  • The role is focused on the design and management of software solutions and systems, however, knowledge of underlying cloud platforms and infrastructure (in particular Azure) would be desirable.
