Job Description

Accelerate Teaching are seeking a highly motivated and experienced School Administrator to join our dynamic team at primary school located in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. This is a full-time position and will start in January 2024.Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the school, including managing records, handling correspondence, and assisting with day-to-day tasks.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff, both verbally and in writing. Ensure timely and accurate dissemination of information.
  • Enrolment and Registration: Oversee the enrolment and registration processes, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to facilitate a smooth transition for new students.
  • Attendance Monitoring: Maintain accurate attendance records for students and staff. Follow up on absences and liaise with teaching staff to address any concerns.
  • Data Management: Handle data entry and management tasks, ensuring that student records are up-to-date and in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in the planning and coordination of school events, meetings, and activities.
  • Support to Leadership: Provide administrative support to the school leadership team, assisting with tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Previous School-Based Experience: Proven experience in a school administrative role is essential.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
  • IT Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute positively to the school community.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
