Living our values by ‘Working Together’ and ‘Trusting Each other’ means that you are bound to meet people who will become friends along the way.A bit about the role:We are looking foran experiencedReturn Operativeto join our team in Wakefield.Based on a 42.5 hour week working Monday – Friday,you’ll be providing accurate and prompt processing of the depot warehouse goods, with a manual “hands on” approach. You’ll also be required to complete various warehouse tasks, as safely, accurately and as efficiently as possible upholding the highest standards of health and safety at all times.A day in the life as Warehouse Operative for Bibby Distribution might include any of the following:

  • Co-operate fully with the sites safety requirements.
  • Receive deliveries of returned customer stock from trailers into warehouse. Check quantities, record receipt and pass on paperwork
  • Manual handling of products
  • Signing for and accepting responsibility for tasks that have been completed.
  • Housekeeping, both physical completion and hygiene checks.
  • Stock integrity and quality checks.
  • Keep warehouse and outside forecourts clean and tidy including shelf dusting, keeping gangways clear and litter removal.
  • Routine PI cycle counts
  • Stock Investigations
  • Liaising with customers via email / telephone
  • Any other duties to help maintain the efficient and successful working of the warehouse

  • Previous knowledge of stock management processes and systems
  • Good communication & team working skills
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills
  • A professional manner
  • Experience operating within a warehouse environment
  • Good computer literacy(Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Knowledge of stock management processes and systems
