Job Description

Due to high demand from one of our Wakefield primary schools, REED Education are recruiting an experienced primary teacher from January 2022 for one academic term, with the possibility of the role being extended into the next academic year. The Headteacherwould like to appoint a Year 6 primary teacher to join the team. The successful primary teacher must have previous experience teaching in upper Key stage 2 and must have knowledge of the National Curriculum alongside previous experience delivering SATs boostergroups.Main responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering lessons around relevant National Curriculum with clear learning objectives, especially with KS2 SATs
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge by attending training days and staff meetings
  • Ensuring that the pupils are suitable prepared for their transition into Secondary school
  • Identifying pupils who require additional learning support and working with them on a 1:1 or group basis to raise attainment
  • Assessing and recording each pupils progress in reference with the schools practice by giving regular feedback and reflection on progress
  • Establishing and developing strong relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and carers
  • Managing the behaviour using the schools behaviour policy
  • Safeguarding the health and safety of all children
