We are currently recruiting on behalf of our Key Client - West Yorkshire Police who have an urgent requirement for a temporary Business Support Officer - immediate startHours of work 30 (Monday to Friday) - may be flexible with days e.g. Monday to Thursday 9.00 am. - 5.00 p.m.The main purpose of the role is to provide an efficient and effective business support service.Main duties:--To act as first point of contact for members of the public, dealing with calls and correspondence providing information, assisting with casework and complaints - recording information and liaising with other partners as appropriate-To provide administration, finance and business support to colleagues.-Organise meetings, travel and accommodation.-Taking minutes in meetings/typing up minutes.-Paying expenses, recording cash transactions and ordering goods and services, ensuring procedures are followed and an audit trail maintained.-Perform a research role and provide information as required - inputting data and preparing reports.-Organise and assist at events and meetings, being involved in consultation and campaigns, updating the website and collating information from surveys and conducting questionnaires.-Undertake any additional administrative support as required.Person Spec:--Experience in a similar role-Word processing experience and the ability to operate MS Office software packages-Good literacy, numeracy and well developed communications skills-Willingness and ability to work on own initiative and to contribute fully to a team-Willingness to analyse and assess information in order to make decisions-Willingness to manage a varied workload and work within deadlines-Experience in a customer service environment-Ability to take minutes of meetingsHours of work are 30 - Monday to Friday (may be flexible with days)
