Job Description

With an immediate start, Engage Education are looking to recruit experienced Nursery Assistants to work at a chain of Nurseries within the Wakefield area of West Yorkshire.Applicants must have already gained experience in supporting the learning process within early years settings and must have a Level 3 qualification in order to be successful at the application stage. Candidates must also be open to working across Leeds.The private day Nurseries are looking for candidates who can start work immediately. Initially, this work will start as soon as possible on an adhoc/daily basis and will run over the 6 weeks schools holidays this summer.Work at the Nurseries is on a day-to-day basis from now and through the summer holidays. There may also be the potential for longer-term opportunities in the future.We are looking for candidates who can travel with ease to all of the above areas and work at last 2-5 days per week for either a 6 or 8 hour shift starting as early as 8:00am.Duties can include:

  • Working with small groups of children in the Baby, Toddler and Pre-school rooms
  • Providing support to the children and the Teacher
  • 1:1 support for SEND and lower ability children
The ideal applicant will have:
  • Some experience of working with children or in a school or nursery
  • A real passion for education and working with children from 0-4 years
  • Bags of creativity for stimulating and engaging children
