This role is a 50:50 split between Marketing and Communications responsibilities, offering a varied workload and no day is the same!We are redefining corporate services for the NHS and this is an opportunity to work on an amazing project as well as BAU. The successful candidate will work primarily, but not exclusively, on The Edge4Health – our innovative cloud-based catalogue solution for the healthcare sector, it is revolutionary!Reporting to the Senior Communications Consultant and working as part of the Edge4Health project team, you will design, develop and deliver strategic and tactical marcomms activities to The Edge4Health. You will also work closely with the broader Marketing and Communications team in providing marcomms support across the wider business.Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Senior Communications Consultant, line of business directors and teams across the organisation to develop product marketing & communications strategies to support the achievement of income targets (through customer acquisition and retention); profile-raising objectives (through compelling multi-channel campaigns); and protecting and enhancing NHS SBS’s reputation (through PR, media relations and social media)
  • Work effectively with the Head of Client Partnership and Director of Business Development to support their teams in engaging successfully with new and existing clients around the The Edge4Health.
  • Own the delivery of marketing strategies by translating strategy into multi-channel marketing communications campaigns across print, events and digital platforms (including email, web and social media) delivered on time and within budget
  • Manage and deliver day-to-day marcomms activities including newsletter production, events management and campaigns management
  • Lead the development of compelling content for a range of internal and external audiences (b2b customers and prospective customers, consumers, key stakeholders, internal staff and the media) across print, web, email, social media, media releases and other platforms
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and external knowledge sources to build an in-depth understanding of the business, its strategy and products, and the broader market in which it operates
  • Required Skills:You will need to have:
  • Significant mid/high level experience working in a communications, marketing or business development role in a corporate, technology or healthcare environment
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Proven experience of planning, designing, developing, delivering and evaluating successful B2B communications and marketing strategies
  • Superb communications skills (written and verbal) – including copywriting, speech/presentation writing, online content etc
  • In-depth experience of developing, delivering and evaluating digital marketing campaigns, including the use of Electronic Direct Mail platforms (eg DotDigital, MailChimp etc)
  • It would be great if you had:

  • Financial/accounting and/or procurement understanding or experience
