Job Description

Licensing Officer– Wakefield Salary: £10.14ph Full-Time (37 hours)Job Purpose:To have responsibility for dealing with Pavement Licences and processing the applications.Accountabilities:

  • Initial point of contact for customers providing information and guidance, accepting applications and issuing Pavement Licences.
  • Maintain a computer database and other recording systems for Pavement Licences.
  • Answering email and telephone enquiries and requesting information from customers in relation to Pavement Licences.
  • Undertake such other work as directed which is consistent with the grade and status of the post.
  • Ensure that services are provided to the highest quality taking account of customer requirements.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and information in an effective manner.
  • Support and work effectively with others to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Ability to accurately analyse information making timely, well judged decisions.
  • Ability to think creatively to achieve the business and service vision.
    • Knowledge:
  • An understanding of the work of the Council and the role of Licensing
  • Good written and oral skills.
  • Some understanding of the core competency framework
