The UKs largest provider of work-based learning programmes is currently looking to hire an influential and results-focused International Accountant. Experience in a multinational environment with use of differing reporting tools and where accounting standardsand tax rules vary locally essential.You would manage the orderly closing of accounts and provide accurate and timely reporting and balance sheet control for the Groups international hubs based in India, South Africa and South East Asia. You will manage three Finance Managers based in those locations,plus support financial processes in other international locations as required.Full-time permanent role for an experienced accountant with good working knowledge of UK FRS and basic understanding of tax principles and regulations plus experience using accounting systems in a multi-currency environment. Location is flexible with hybrid working, however you will ideally be commutable distance from the Wakefield Office.---The RoleYou will play a key role in the smooth and efficient running of the Group Accounting function, with key responsibilities to include…- Ensuring prompt accounting close in reporting system OneStream, balance sheet control and month end reconciliations for international hubs- Managing and supporting overseas Finance Managers - Ensuring procedures relating to tax and company law compliance are followed - Supporting the UK accounting close around month end - Providing regular monthly reporting and ad hoc analysis as required- Building collaborative working relationships with overseas colleagues---The CandidateAs an accomplished accountant you will have experience working as part of a large complex matrix organisation, ideally in a multinational capacity where accounting standards and tax rules vary locally.
