The Company:Set up by the Department of Health in a unique partnership with technology experts Sopra Steria, NHS Shared Business Services (NHS SBS) provide essential corporate back office services to other NHS organisations.NHS SBS is the market leader in corporate services with around 40% of the NHS using one or more of our products. With unrivalled knowledge and experience, we provide high-quality, value-for-money finance, procurement and employment services to the NHS, helping them overcome any challenges they face in the back office.We work closely with NHS organisations all over the country to replace outdated, time-consuming and error-prone paper processes, with affordable digital systems and more efficient ways of working, and in addition to our core services, we are designing and developing innovative digital technologies and piloting brand new ways of working, which further improve efficiency and quality, and better support the NHS workforce to deliver world-class patient care.We are passionate about using our expertise to save the NHS time and money and are more relevant today than ever before.The Day Job:Are you anengaging communications expert Can you create superb internal and corporate communicationsWe are looking for a collaborative thinker, an individual who thrives within a team orientated and fast paced environment. Working closely with colleagues across the marketing communications team, you will be leading on the design, development and delivery of a top notch communications strategy. You will have a strategic head on your shoulders to support of our objectives and influence our narrative. This is all about strategic language and translating corporate strategy, which is an art!The marketing and communications (marcomms) team is a core part of NHS SBS. Covering the full marketing mix, including communications, stakeholder engagement and marketing and PR, our small team supports the entire organisation. This is an opportunity to join an energetic and driven team with a incredible passion for what they do and boy, do they do it well!Key Responsibilities:

  • Project manage and co-ordinate all aspects of employee and leadership briefing events, both on and off line.
  • Develop compelling content and collateral, both on and off line
  • Own a suite of internal communications channels, including a weekly e-newsletter, intranet and others, ensuring that content is timely, accurate and appropriate.
  • Use a variety of metrics and feedback methods to evaluate the effectiveness of our internal and corporate communications activities, producing recommendations for improvement where appropriate
  • Work effectively with third-party suppliers (eg external design agencies) as required and manage budgets associated with the delivery of communications and marketing activities
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and external knowledge sources to build an in-depth understanding of the business, its strategy and products, and the broader market in which it operates
  • Essential SkillsYou must have:
  • Significant mid/high level experience working in a corporate or internal communications role within a large, complex organisation
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Proven experience of planning, designing, developing, delivering and evaluating successful internal communications and marketing strategies
  • Superb communications skills (written and verbal) – including copywriting, speech/presentation writing, online content etc
  • Experience in handling sensitive information tactfully and with discretion
  • It would be great if you had:
  • An understanding of the NHS
  • Experience in the use of Electronic Direct Mail platforms (eg DotDigital, MailChimp etc)
  • Contract Type: 12 month FTC, Full time Location:NHS SBS - Leeds (Remote based, M62 Corridor)Internal Recruiter: Katie Salary: up to £40,000 (DOE)Benefits:£5,400 car allowance, 25 days annual leave with the option to buy additional days, private medical, life assurance, pension, and generous flexible benefits fund
