Job Description

Role: Health, Safety and Environmental ManagerLocation:Wakefield (withpotential travel to Group sites across the North of England)Salary:£38k+ per annumRequirements:Proven Health/Safety Manager experience, NEBOSH certified and a background in Construction or Engineering.Please note candidates without these requirements will not be considered.Health and Safety Manager Interaction Recruitment are excited to be working with a window/door manufacturer lookingfor a Health and Safety Manager to join the tight knit Wakefield team. This role centres aroundensuring compliance and fostering a culture of safety across businessoperationsas they continue to grow across 2024.Health and Safety ManagerResponsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a robust understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation within a manufacturing environment in a similar industry.
  • Take ownership of all Health and Safety activities at the site, promoting cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Partner with Managers to translate business priorities into actionable Health and Safety initiatives.
  • Uphold high-quality standards and cultivate a high-performance Health and Safety culture.
  • Lead, develop, and manage relevant Health and Safety programmes to engage colleagues and ensure consistency across the business.
  • Drive practical implementation and enforcement of best practices on the shop floor.
Health and Safety Managerwill be:
  • NEBOSH qualification is essential.
  • Proven experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental management within a manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills with the ability to gain buy-in from staff.
  • Strong leadership qualities and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated passion and enthusiasm for Health & Safety with integrity and energy.
