This specialist manufacturing company close to Barnsley is expanding and looking for a qualified Electrician looking to develop a new career in AV or someone already working as an AV Engineer. About the role:Based from the office, you will be working in customer sites across the UK, generally on your own although some roles will involve working a part of a team. Duties will include: Carrying out work with a variety of customers including schools, care homes and hospitals around the UK Installing and servicing of specialist AV equipment including a variety of high tech equipment Carrying out some joinery work and flat pack building and other general installation work as required for the installation of equipment Liaising with customers on site Co-ordinating with head office departments to ensure work completed as required Planning routes to sites across the UK Due to the nature of the role, you will be spending around 3 days a week away from home. Skills and Experience Required:The ideal candidate will have either be a qualified Electrician with 17th Edition (ideally 18th Edition) who is looking to develop a career in AV or someone with a background in a similar AV Audio Video Engineer role. A shopfitter would also be considered.Skills or experience in joinery with the ability to build flat pack and server racks are key to success in the role. You will have a full current driving licence. Due to the nature of some of the customers, you will either have or be willing to undergo anenhanced DBS check.
