Job Description

Our client is a multi-discipline company that specialises in Civil Engineering and specialist gas and oil projects. Due to recent expansions, our client is seeking a detail-oriented Document Controller to join their specialist projects team. As a DocumentController, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, accessibility, and security of document management systems. You will work closely with various departments and be first point of contact to organise, maintain, and control the flow of documentation,contributing to the efficiency and compliance of operations.Key Responsibilities - Document Controller

  • Oversee the organisation and maintenance of electronic and hard copy documents.
  • Manage a systematic filing structure for easy document retrieval.
  • Ensure the proper categorisation, indexing, and version control of all documents.
  • Implement and enforce document control procedures to maintain data integrity.
  • Monitor and track the lifecycle of documents, ensuring timely reviews and approvals.
  • Facilitate the distribution of documents to relevant stakeholders and maintain an accurate distribution list.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify document accuracy and compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address any discrepancies and ensure continuous improvement in document control processes.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand documentation requirements.
  • Support cross-functional teams in the creation, review, and approval of various documents.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to document management.
Requirements - Document Controller
  • Proven experience as a Document Controller or in a similar role within the construction or engineering sector.
  • Proficient in document management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to document control.
