Job Description

Contract AdministratorWakefield 1 Month£11.53 PAYE plus paid holidaysMy high-profile insurance brokerage and risk management services client is looking for a Contract Administrator to join their team on an initial contract of 1 month. You will work Monday to Friday with from their office based in Wakefield working35 hours a week..As a Contracts Administrator, you are responsible is to support the contracts department by efficiently managing the administrative tasks related to contract preparation, execution, and maintenance. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operationof the contract lifecycle process within the organisation.Key Role and Daily Tasks:

  • Assist in the preparation of various types of contracts, including sales agreements, service contracts, vendor agreements, and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs). Review contracts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and legalrequirements.
  • Facilitate the contract signing process by coordinating with internal stakeholders and external parties. Ensure all required approvals and signatures are obtained in a timely manner. Maintain a record of executed contracts and associated documents.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive contract management system. Organise and maintain contract files, both in physical and electronic formats. Update contract templates, terms and conditions, and other contract-related documents as necessary.
  • Create and maintain contract-related documentation, such as amendments, addendums, and contract change orders. Ensure proper documentation and filing of contract correspondence, including emails and other communication related to contracts.
  • Conduct initial reviews of contracts to identify key terms, obligations, and potential risks. Collaborate with legal and procurement teams to resolve any contract-related issues or discrepancies.
  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding contract-related inquiries. Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, sales, and procurement, to gather necessary information and ensure contract compliance.
  • Monitor contract expiration dates and proactively initiate contract renewal or termination processes as required. Assist in negotiating and drafting contract amendments or extensions.
  • Compile and analyse contract data to generate reports and metrics related to contract performance, renewal rates, and compliance. Provide regular updates to management on contract status and key performance indicators.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. Support internal and external audits by providing contract-related documentation and information as needed.
  • Provide administration assistance to Contracts Manager, Real Estate Strategy, Crisis Management & Business Continuity
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of administrative roles, preferably in a contracts or legal environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in using contract management software and MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with legal and contractual terminology.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong multitasking and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of contract law and principles.
  • Sets high personal standards and leads by example
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both internally and externally at all levels
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Pro-active can-do attitude
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines
