Job Description

My client a public sector organisation in Wakefield hasan excellent opportunityfor aProcurement interim for 4 months initially but may well be extended. This role would require the successful candidate to be in the office 2 days a week. This isan excellent opportunity to work as part of a busy public procurement team. The category that this role will be covering the IT and professional services category.Key responsibilities:• Provide advice and procurement expertise in the Technology, Business Services and Professional Services categories.• Shape procurement solutions which deliver value for money and have focused outcomes that help Service Delivery toresidents.• Liaise with key internal stakeholders to determine their product and service needs.• Identify areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results.• Develop strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners.• Use a variety of sourcing models including, online catalogues, frameworks, above threshold procurements and Dynamic purchasing systems.• Undertake market research/engagement.Skills/experience• Minimum MCIPS Level 4.• Working knowledge of public sector procurement.• Skills in planning procurements, stakeholder management, risk management, developing procurement strategies and completing procurements from identifying need to contract commencement.• Working knowledge and experience of using frameworks placed by other contracting authorities in the technology category.If you have the necessary skill set please do not hesitate to apply online or send your CV to
