Job Description

With almost 50 years’ experience in the industry – both our Wholesale & Distribution division and Retail arm, Pets & Friends, have the knowledge to help pet parents take the best careof their pets.About the Role:As an Assistant Store Manager you will be responsible supporting the delivery of store sales & contribution growth across both Retail and Service categories, through industry leading customer service standards. To deputise and be responsible for the operationof the store in the Manager’s absence.Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional Retail Store Standards across all customer facing and ‘back of house’ areas.
  • Plan and execute changes to promotions, campaigns and events in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Deliver TPC performance ahead of targets set.
  • Be part of creating and managing a positive customer service culture in the store.
  • Take part in stock management activities such as weekly stock counts.
  • Contribute to the working of store deliveries – move stock to the warehouse, shelves merchandised correctly, and deliveries managed in a timely fashion.
  • Able to run back-office tasks such as order placement or rota development in the Store Managers absence.
  • Ensure store, team and personal compliance with all company policies and procedures relating to the control of Cash, Stock, Store and Staff are in place and adhered to.
  • Ensure all Health & Safety compliance is up to date within the store – Risk Assessments, First Aid, Fire Safety, Staff Safety.
