Job Description

One of our most prestigious Supply Chain and Logistics clients are seeking a pro-active and analytically minded Supply Chain Project Manager to join their Digital Transformation team in their Head Office near Uxbridge area.My client has a nationwide presence across multiple sites and executes the very best customer experience at all times. They are looking for a Supply Chain Project Manager to report on the efficiency and effectiveness of the business operations by analysing data, designing and implementing processes according to business performance and working on critical business projects. Being data driven, a great problem solver, and numerically minded is key for this Supply Chain Project Manager role!The role would suit someone with a background in data analysis, project management, problem solving complex issues, developing solutions and presenting to internal stakeholders. Typically from an Analytical, Supply Chain or Senior Analyst background! Operational knowledge of Cargowise software is essential, technical knowledge an advantage!In return, you will be rewarded with a very competitive salary plus pension scheme, death in service scheme, voluntary scheme benefits and 33 days holidays including bank holidays!Supply Chain Project Manager Job Role:

  • Providing analysed data to higher management in order to support business needs
  • Process management from design and review to acceptance and deployment
  • Improving processes across the business by identifying and implementing logistical practises
  • Leading, analysing and driving complex business projects for departments
  • Liaising with operational teams, providing clear guidance and information enabling them to plan operation effectively
  • Carrying out investigations on feedback provided on services, functions or products
  • Working closely with other departments and teams
  • Act as a mentor to the Junior Business Analysts in the team
  • Supporting staff and teams in making your recommended changes, including helping to resolve any issues
  • Ensuring plans are made and processes are created to evaluate the impact of the changes made, including taking responsibility for overseeing and reporting on this evaluation.
  • Supply Chain Project Manager Key skills/ Experiences:
  • Comprehensive operational knowledge of Cargowise essential, technical knowledge an advantage
  • Ability to question processes and existing practices
  • In-depth Logistics or Supply Chain operational & industry knowledge
  • Experience working with remote / offshore teams
  • Project management experience
  • Being able to build effective and strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel is essential with strong IT skills in MS packages - Word, Excel, Project or Visio.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and as a team / project leader
  • Pragmatic / can do attitude with a flexible approach to working practices
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Willingness to travel
  • Occasionally unsocial hours work
  • Willingness to undertake further self-development
