Job Purpose and Summary Canon UKis looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Public Relations Manager (known internally as a PR Specialist)to joinits Corporate Communications, Marketing and Sustainability team (CCMS).Youll take on the Public Relations and Social Media activity for Canon UK & Irelands corporate and full B2B portfolio (including our industry-leading office solutions, professional print and business services). You will plan, implement and measure campaignsto support our ambitious business objectives.Youll work closely with stakeholders and marketing teams to define PR and social media objectives, agree targets and deliverables, and then develop and generate the messaging documents for both Canons Corporate and B2B PR & Social Media strategy.What we giveWith Canon, youll get the support and encouragement you need to grow, from people who share your ambition. • Managing local agencies to develop and implement proactive PR and social media plans
• Developing Canon UK & Irelands B2B social media presence
• Creating impactful local PR initiatives which will drive positive press coverage for Canon UK & Irelands entire portfolio of B2B products and solutions
• Working with senior spokespeople to create relevant thought leadership content and elevate the organisations voice within the industry
• Managing relationships with UK journalists, especially business and trade contacts
• Sell in of relevant content shared from the Canon EMEA comms team including press releases, support documents and editorial copy
• Hosting journalists at Canon and industry events and managing product demonstrations and reviews

You will needAs PR Specialist:

• You have proven Business-to-Business Public Relations and corporate experience
• A demonstrable understanding of using social media to support business objectives
• Strong evidence of PR planning and reporting based on Key Performance Indicators to monitor coverage and results on a regular basis, and a clear ability to act on these to provide future direction on objectives and measurements of success.
• Excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with senior stakeholders and external press, PR and communications agencies
