Job Description

Microbiologist - UxbridgeSalary £25,000My client in Uxbridge is looking for a Microbiologist.They are looking for someone who is ambitious, passionate and who wants to push themselves further. Ideally the person will have a number of years’ experience working within a Food or Beverage Industry laboratory with a thorough knowledge of analytical and microbiological analysis. Clear understanding of GLP is essential.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To test raw materials, finished products, trial samples and investigative samples using microbiological techniques.
  • Expected to be able to manage time and carry out work independently, whilst working well with the team
  • Plan accordingly for priority samples and project work
  • To use your scientific background to take part in investigative work
  • Contribute your existing knowledge and experience to solve production related issues
  • To follow the Laboratory Methods & SOPs
    • Any other duties as required in support of the running of the regional QC department.The Ideal Experience:
  • BSc in Biology or related degree required
  • Required experience of routine QC microbiological techniques
  • Experience of working in a QC, food or contract laboratory is advantageous
  • To work to GLP
  • Fully word & excel literate to a high standard
