Job Description

About the JobThis is a key appointment for a rapidly expanding organisation and has the prime responsibility for business development and growth in LSE with support and assistance from the Regional Manager.We are looking for someone who is reliable, enthusiastic, and personable ideally with experience of sales within the construction/building products sector in the Southeast of England.In this role, you will be responsible for covering the geographical areas of Oxford, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Hampshire, and Surrey including any additional business requirements.You need to be able to manage your workload in an efficient and organised manner including timely communication with clients and internal teams to meet the demands of a fast-paced construction environment.For this permanent position, we welcome application from non- sector backgrounds, therefore please apply if you believe you possess the transferrable skills and experience necessary to excel in this position.What you will be doing

  • You are at the start of our business processes – promoting our frameworks and the business benefits of using them to public sector clients.
  • Seeking out new clients and understanding their potential and actual requirements
  • Increasing the reach and stature of the Southeast Procurement Alliance.
  • Having regular communications and face to face meetings with current and potential clients.
  • In conjunction with the Client Research Officer, seek out new opportunities whilst managing the extensive existing client base.
  • Developing good working relationships with the appointed contractors and suppliers.
  • Promoting our business through a variety of media.
  • Preparing presentations and other collateral to assist your activities.
  • Maintain the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system by continually updating it with all your contacts and activities and using it as a planning tool to manage your workload.
What you need
  • Experience in structured selling in the construction sector (desirable).
  • Must be a resilient self-starter with demonstrable ability to build and manage relationships.
  • A team player but able to work on own initiative by multi-tasking and managing tight deadlines and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable with IT Systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Energy and enthusiasm.

  • Basic salary Grade POB which starts at £42,795.
