Job Description

We are seeking an Information Security Compliance Officer to join our client team, a pioneering organisation in the defense industry. In this crucial role, you will play a vital part in safeguarding their operations and ensuring their information securityaround data management.Join a dynamic Compliance team based in West London and become part of an award-winning culture.The IT Compliance Officer provides you with a unique opportunity to make a difference in a highly regulated environment. Your primary objective will be to review, identify, and implement compliance with regulatory and contractual security requirements. Youwill monitor and execute customer information security contract clauses and stay current with evolving regulations and obligations.Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations
  • Ensure compliance with UK MOD, DEFCON, DEFSTAN, and SAL
  • Ensure compliance with US DOD NIST SP800-171 and CMMC 2.0
  • Monitor and execute the requirements of relevant Industry Security Notices
  • Develop and maintain security policies, plans, and procedures
  • Support the implementation of MoD Industry Personnel Security Assurance (IPSA) and security checks
  • Deputize for the Group Head of Compliance and Personnel Security Controller as required
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance in personnel, information, physical, and cyber security
  • Manage and protect sensitive data/documentation in line with security requirements
  • Maintain the information security risk register, compliance checks, and incident reporting
  • Develop and deliver information security training and awareness programs
Requirements:
  • Thorough understanding of security aspects relating to data management
  • Awareness of relevant regulations and standards (OSA, DEFSTAN, DEFCON, IPSA, SAL, CUI, NIST/CMMC, Data Protection Act, UK GDPR)
  • Ability to communicate and implement information security requirements
  • Experience in managing information in compliance with regulations and contractual requirements
