Job Description

Health Economics Manager required for a 12 month contract role with a leading multinational company based in Uxbridge or Cambridge.Responsibilities

  • Develops Global and Regional value propositions.
  • Develops annual strategic plans and research projects that support the value proposition including outcomes research, patient reported outcomes, and health economics modeling.
  • Creates and maintains the Global Value Dossier.
  • Performs health economics projects from inception to completion and publication including creation of Study Concept Documents, Protocols, Analysis Plans and Final Study Reports.
  • Review and critique medical and evidence-based outcomes literature.
  • Manages researchers and health economics vendors external to the company.
  • Works with teams to create and implement payer, value and publication plans.
  • Works with Development and Medical Affairs clinical study teams.
  • Interacts with and presents to multiple departments within the organisation:
  • Health Economists in Europe, Canada and Australia;
  • Development including Clinical Science, Epidemiology and Biostatistics;
  • Medical Affairs including Medical Director, Medical Communications and Corporate Affairs;
  • Global Commercial including the Global Commercial Leader and Global Pricing;
  • and US Business Units including Product Director, Access Managers, Corporate Accounts and Global Government Affairs.
  • Builds relationships with Key Researchers and Opinion Leaders.
  • Manages project budgets.
  • Skills
  • Health economics experience is essential
  • Oversight experience in both internal and external projects.
  • Experience in clinical and practical clinical trial protocol development.
  • A good understanding of study designs that produce clinically and economically relevant value information in both development and post-launch time period.
  • An understanding of the public and private payer environment and the requirements for health economics and value information.
  • Knowledge and understanding of key marketplace factors, critical business issues and drivers.
  • HEOR evidence experience is essential
  • Excellent communication skill.
  • Projects management involving small team and large team.
  • Aware of the ongoing trend in Real World Evidence field is a must.
