Job Description

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant with experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team in the education sector, providing one-to-one support to children with diverseSEN needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH), and post-16 requirements.Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN, ensuring their safety, well-being, and educational development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to implement individualised education plans.
  • Assist students in their day-to-day activities, fostering independence and promoting social interaction.
  • Monitor and record student progress, reporting observations to the SENCO and other relevant staff.
  • Establish positive relationships with students, promoting a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant, preferably with SEN exposure.
  • Understanding of and empathy towards students with MLD, PMLD, SEMH, and post-16 SEN needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the unique requirements of each student.
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of children with SEN
