Job Description

Goods in Stores Person £22-25k Healthcare plan Paid Overtime + bonus scheme Fantastic pension schemeExperienced Goods in stores operative needed for our client who are based close to Beaconsfield, they are a world-renowned Aerospace business. We are looking for someone with a methodical approach to their work, the successful candidate should have knowledgewith SAP system(s) for booking goods in/out. Job purpose: To receive product into the business in as effective and efficient manner as possible. To drive a Forklift Truck to unload / load and transport deliveries within the business To transact all deliveries in an accurate and efficient manner. Goods in stores accountabilities:The receipt of materials from all vendors and the accurate booking in of these materials using the requisite SAP transactions and Quality Modules. The verification and validation of all supplied documentation to ensure that the vendor has supplied the correct materials in accordance with the purchase order, this will include.

  • Ensuring the materials are the correct indicated quantity to the purchase order.
  • Ensuring the material is to the correct configuration (issue / revision level).
  • Ensuring that the materials have been delivered without evidence of damage and are correctly packaged.
To undertake the transportation of heavy goods by use of a forklift truck when required. To maintain and support the delivery area as used by delivery staff and vehicles to ensure clear and safe passage for all users. To ensure that reject materials are transacted and returned to vendors in the correct packaging, clearly labelled and with the correct documentation. Dispatching reject goods using the internal Shipping system (training provided) To assist in the successful implementation of ongoing Lean Initiatives including:
  • 5S activities
  • Continuous Improvement programmes
Goods in Stores Experience & Skills:* Industrial logistic duties gained from working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment * Basic grounding in H&S policies and procedures * Team player - with the ability to lone work * Able to read and understand engineering drawings and instructions. * Forklift Truck Driver * Work to 5S principles Desirable:
  • Forklift License
