About the role of Commercial Loan Servicing ManagerOur client is a leading mortgage and loan servicing business and have a vacancy for a Commercial Loan Servicing Manager to join their business.As a Commercial Loan Servicing Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of Loan Servicing specialists to provide servicing facilities in line with client expectations and to manage a portfolio of connections, reviewing, implementing and monitoringcase strategies.You will be responsible for ensuring that all actions requested by the SPM, Head of and Director of Commercial Loan Servicing are implemented within agreed timescales. This will include providing operational support for the implementation of approved casestrategies, monitoring the portfolio on a daily basis for any borrower deviation from approved arrangements, escalating as appropriate and maintaining management information. A key function of your role is to ensure that all activities are carried out in linewith control policies, procedures and legislative requirements while providing exceptional customer service and minimising risk in regard to regulatory requirements.Responsibilities for the role of Commercial Loan Servicing Manager
  • Lead primary & special servicing of commercial lending clients, managing a team of Specialist/Senior Specialists
  • Deliver positive customer outcomes and manage the credit risk associated with loan level decisions
  • Oversee compliant and robust processes through actively managing internal processes and third parties
  • Ensure that service levels are met and adhering to the agreed policies and procedures
  • Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards
  • Interact with other managers to provide project management expertise to deliver change
  • Consider TCF in all aspects of strategic planning
  • Develop strategy for dealing with delinquent loans according to best practice techniques and changes to the regulatory environment
  • Assess loan workout options at account level and then entering into dialogue with the customer to discuss the options and determine the best outcome
  • Monitor loan performance, preparing MI and analysing reports/trend analysis and using this to refine/improve servicing strategy
  • Work closely with third parties to obtain up to date drive-by/desktop valuations where appropriate
  • Attend governance meetings, including preparation of agendas and documenting actions
  • Keep up to date with government initiatives relating to arrears and litigation and recommending changes to strategy where required
  • Interact with other managers to provide project management expertise to deliver change
  • Mentor and develop a direct team, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic
Experience required for the position of Commercial Loan Servicing Manager
  • Experience in servicing Buy to Let, Commercial Mortgage or Bridging loans is essential
  • Experience of primary and special servicing is essential with a good understanding of loan servicing post offer
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of Dimensions Access Accounting and Phoebus are desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communications skills
