We have a wonderful opportunity for an experienced care professional who is passionate about delivering high quality care and has experience of team leading or supervising others. This role is based in one of the companies new Extra Care homes and involves interfacing between the care workers and management. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the whole are operation are working as a team and delivering the highest standards of service user care and continually upskilling your care staff.Key Objective: To implement and manage the provision of quality care to Service Users within the Extra Care homes.SCOPE OF JOB: Responsible to the service users, their families, the regulation authorities and bodies.Key Features of Role:- To take responsibility for the smooth running of the care of the Extra Care homes, and to ensure quality of care and service user satisfaction.- To be responsible for quality assurance checks by one to one interaction with staff, conducting reviews and assessments, as well as to review MAR’s/Observation Forms to ensure care best practice.- To check staff dress codes and manage staff aptitude and attitude, as well as ensuring the homes are maintained to the highest standards at all times.- To maintain records, and ensure accurate and effective handovers during shift change over.- To ensure good relations are maintained in between all company staff and its service users and their families.- To participate in attending to service user care and support needs.- To deal with low level complaints and be the liaison between service users, their families, the Home Manager and the care staff.- The ability to motivate and coach staff to deliver the best levels of care and assist the home manager to deliver the organisational goals.- To ensure that medication is being administered effectively and carers are delivering person centred care.The Person must demonstrate.Experience of carrying out a supervisory or team leading role within care (experience in home/field care preferred)Nvq level 3 or above preferred or suitably qualified through experience.Evidence of having worked as a senior member of a care setting.A good working knowledge of care standards and delivering care best practiceA good working knowledge of health & safety issuesSkills & Abilities:Customer focused and committed to delivering high standards of carePromotion of equal opportunities for service users & staffAdministrative & organisational skillsCommunication and strong customer service skillsEffective time management and prioritisation of tasksAbility to remain calm and composed at all times and cope with pressureThis role offers successful candidates an immediate start, long term job security and the opportunities to progress in to management and Head Office roles for employees who are effective in these roles.
