Job Description

As the Care Home Service Manager you have responsibility for managing an on-site team within a state of the art, extra care services facility and being responsible for ensuring that the home operates effectively and ensuring delivery of the very best quality care.Key Features of the Role:

  • Ensure the delivery of quality care - continually assessing our residents’ needs and wishes and developing the service to enhance their quality of life.
  • Direct staff management and ensuring the smooth running of the care home.
  • Take on accountability for the home - ensuring compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements; striving to achieve the best possible care rating and other external recognition of quality.
  • Ensure the safeguarding of service users and delivering optimum levels of care and support.
  • Manage the financial effectiveness of the home - maintain the budget of the home and seek to identify opportunities to increase profitability and reduce cost.
  • Take on an active leadership role - you will need to be a visible leader in the home supporting the operation of a twenty four hour business.
  • Work with the operational support team to organise rota’s and ensure effective fulfilment of shifts.
  • Developing your people - you will have the opportunity to build your team, supported by a centralised recruitment and training team, who will be recruiting and developing the right people for you to grow your business and through supporting their career development.
  • Facilities & Property management of a state of the art care facility and ensuring the smooth day to day running of the home.
    • JOB REQUIREMENTS- Experience of working in a care management role within Residential Care.- Highly driven, self-motivated and able to multi-task- Managing teams/people and the ability to delegate tasks and performance manage/coach/mentor staff;- You must hold a Registered Managers Award - NVQ level 4/5 in Health & Social Care or equivalent and have or be willing to work towards the Leadership and Management Award.- Flexible and agile approach to work, with the ability to lead from the frontline- The nature of the job responsibilities may require flexible hours, including some weekend hours, or adjusted beginning and ending times.- Well versed with CQC guidelines and a proven track record of delivering positive CQC ratings in previous roles.- Well organised and able to inspire confidence and trust in others.- Must be a car driver and car owner.Our Registered Home Managers are critical to the continued success of the business, with exciting opportunities to progress the home and their career.
